The company was founded in 1983 in Shiraz, Iran by CEO Mostafa Nojoumi. His son Hassan Nojoumi [President of Shimifrez) met the ventureLAB business mentoring team in early 2011 to obtain market research and strategy assistance to enter North American markets. Subsequently the company decided to launch its manufacturing operation in Vaughan, Ontario in September 2011, offering its manufacturing services to North American markets for precision components (ie, aerospace-satellite, automotive, computer-telecommunication, electronics, renewable energy, mechanical, medical-instrumentation, oil-gas and clean-tech sector players].
Shimfrez plans to join the Canadian Fortune 100 list and expand internationally.
