Coordinator, Venture Growth — Job ID 202110

Note: This is an 8-week contract position (35 hours/week)

The Venture Growth Coordinator will work closely with the Venture Growth (VG) Project Manager to aid with development and documentation of internal processes for VG run and supported programming. The focus for the Coordinator will be on supporting the Capital Investment Program as well as the Artificial Intelligence advisory program. This role will assist the Venture Growth team in building processes for stronger interdepartmental communication and work with the team to improve administration, planning and coordination of advisory services. This role works closely with ventureLAB staff and clients as well as outside organizations and partners.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, this position will work remotely for the duration of this contract.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supporting ventureLAB’s Capital Investment Program through process development, improving team communication and documentation of key activities
  • Supporting ventureLAB’s Artificial Intelligence advisory program by working closely with ventureLAB Advisors and Programs teams
  • Collaborating with each of ventureLAB’s internal teams to better deliver advisory services
  • Assisting with administration, tracking and documentation of Venture Growth’s goals and objectives
  • Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice



  • Last year student or Completing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Industrial engineering, Art or Humanities 
  • Experience in business process development and documentation
  • Data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly present ideas and solutions to both internal and external parties
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with many different teams within the organization
  • Familiarity with G Suite and CRMs
  • An interest in technology, entrepreneurship and start-ups


Canada Summer Jobs Program Criteria

Applicant is:
