Position Profile

 

Reporting to the Manager, Partnerships, you will work with the partnerships team, to work cross-functionally with the ventureLAB team to develop and execute partner events, research and special projects and assist in the execution of partner deliverables. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of professionals, including the ventureLAB team, tech entrepreneurs, industry executives, public and private sector partners.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide administrative and operational duties required to ensure the efficient and effective management of Partnership initiatives, activities and workshops
  • Work with Partnerships and Programs team to curate partnership content, events, programs, and services available to technology entrepreneurs
  • Work with Marketing team on promoting partner content
  • Project tracking – track project progress against outcome goals and planned timelines
  • Conduct comprehensive ecosystem research
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications

  • Working experience in administration, business development, partnerships or marketing preferred
  • Strong customer/partner service orientation
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Proficient with G-Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates great interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a hands-on self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Strong service mentality, and a great team player

 

Additional Information

 

Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, this position will work remotely for the duration of this contract. 

 

Please also note that the position availability is contingent on the approval of the Career Ready Program.

 

Candidates must meet Career Ready program criteria to be eligible for consideration:

  • Either a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Must be registered as a full time student in a Canadian post-secondary institution program (unofficial transcript will suffice)
  • The student must not be an international student with a work permit

Compensation is $16/hr with an up-to 35-hour work week. Please note this is a contract position ending on or before December 23, 2021.
