Palette Inc. is a national not-for-profit that supports fast-growing companies to find the talent they need by up-skilling and transitioning mid-career workers whose jobs or industries are being disrupted. Our vision is to ensure people and organisations can thrive in a rapidly evolving knowledge economy. We believe that Canada can be a leader in innovation-driven economic growth by harnessing the limitless capacity of its people to adapt to change. We started operations in January 2019 and launched our inaugural program, SalesCamp, in under 6 months. SalesCamp trains and transitions professionals from traditional industries (such as retail) into B2B sales roles at some of the GTA’s fastest-growing tech companies. Our program provides hands-on learning, coaching and access to companies who are hiring resulting in 85% of participants receiving a job offer within 8 weeks of completing the program.
What We Need
We’ve received federal funding to bring our model to Durham/East Toronto over the next three years. We’re looking for a Program Manager to lead the expansion of Palette into the Durham/East Toronto region.
In this role, you will be the primary lead for the Durham/East Toronto program. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end of design, development, delivery, evaluation and iteration of the program. This includes soliciting interested employers in the region and understanding their needs, activating networks and channels to source and assess program participants, identifying and working closely with the training partners to develop a training program that reflects the needs of the employers and other actions that will make the program a success. While you’ll lead this work, you won’t do it alone. Partners, such the employers, training partners, recruitment agencies are the lifeblood of the Palette model and you’re the glue that will hold all of it together. You will also lead a small internal team that will support this work. You will report to the Director of Operations in Toronto.
Who You Are:
Are you passionate about the future of work? Excited to lead the program that is helping people and organizations navigate tech-based disruptions? Do you want to be involved in designing a program through placing participants in jobs? If so, Palette is a great place to work, learn and experiment.
We’d love to hear from you if:
We know this sounds like a lot! And it is – we’re a small but fast-growing organization and we’re looking for team members who share our willingness to take on big challenges. But you won’t be expected to do this alone. At Palette, you will be a part of a team that is deeply committed to supporting each other, that focuses on excellence in execution, values learning through doing by trying new things, and is building an organization where everyone can win together, fail together and grow together. We wouldn’t be doing what we do if we didn’t believe first and foremost in the boundless potential of people. Come join us!
Palette embraces diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. If there is anything we can do to create a more comfortable interview experience for you, please let us know.
