Know before you go: Our top tips for Collision from Home

June 15, 2020

As most parts of the world enter a third month of lockdowns, virtual conferences are increasingly the norm. While the format of this year’s Collision will look different than last year, it promises all of the same magic and opportunity.

From June 23 – 25, 2020, Collision from Home attendees will participate from all around the world, live-streaming talks from tech CEOs, international policymakers, and global cultural figures. This year’s Collision conference is expecting over 1300 startups, 1000 investors, and 30,000 attendees! Collision from Home will be hosted on their proprietary software (over a decade in the making), which will allow startups, investors, and attendees to connect and learn in a variety of innovative ways.

As one of the world’s biggest tech conferences, Collision’s core value is its incredible speakers and valuable networking opportunities. Through the Collision from Home app, you can:

  • Meet new contacts: Browse the full list of Collision from Home attendees, partner companies, media, investors, and startups. Book a product demo, check out a workshop, connect with an exciting startup, or make contacts that will last long after the event is over.
  • Have face-to-face meetings: The Collision app is engineered to match you with the most relevant connections for time-boxed talks, and aims to make one-on-one and group video calls natural and fun.
  • Join lounges: You can meet other attendees by joining groups recommended to you, or create your own. (Set your meeting as invite-only, or make it public so Collision’s 30,000 attendees can discover and join.)
  • Access limitless content options: With hundreds of world-class speakers, you can watch over 100 hours of live-streaming content covering more than 30 topics, from climate change to AI.

So with all of these great features, how do you get the most out of the conference?

  1. Check out the Collision schedule and register for sessions ahead of time. Use the app to plan your day and pick your favorite sessions.
  2. Are you a ventureLAB client? Get to know your ventureLAB team. Set up a time to meet with your ventureLAB account reps. We have over 20 team members that will be attending the conference.
  3. Meet startups and partners. With over 30,000 people in attendance, there are tons of contacts that you can connect with at Collision.
  4. Make the most of social media. There’s a lot of conversations that happen on Twitter and LinkedIn using the conference hashtag (#COLLISIONATHOME). It’s a great way to ask questions and engage in conversations. If you meet someone new, don’t hesitate to add them on Twitter or LinkedIn right away!
