ventureLAB is proud to announce the incoming Tech Undivided cohort! Launched in 2019 with support of a $1.7-million investment through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), Tech Undivided bridges gender and diversity gaps in the tech sector to support women in tech. By focusing on and supporting diverse and underrepresented women-led tech companies while working with women and allies, Tech Undivided removes unconscious bias faced by women and underrepresented persons. The third Tech Undivided cohort comprises women-led tech companies with breakthrough products from machine-learning driven customer service to AI-powered healthcare. These five companies will work with industry experts, our Strategic Mentorship network, and investors to refine their product-market-fit, amplify their sales, navigate relevant sources of funding, and hone their pitch to better prepare for customer and investor meetings. According to Stats Canada, 40% of women-owned businesses across Canada engage in some form of innovation. Through Tech Undivided, ventureLAB works to empower women-led companies and ensure that this number continues to grow. Our vision is to create a more equitable tech sector by reducing unconscious bias and removing barriers for women-led ventures to increase representation and access to capital. Tech Undivided enables women founders to secure customers to drive revenue growth, leveraging a network of industry experts who are leaders in innovation.
