What is human capital management?
“Don’t hire dicks, don’t hire whiners, don’t hire Eeyores.”
– Sarah Prevette
Sarah Prevette talks about her experience starting Sprouter, BetaKit and Future Design School. Sarah has hired dozens of people over her career and she shares insights about the types of people to look for. Sarah places a huge emphasis on happiness. If a candidate doesn’t seem like a happy person, they may not work out in the end and they can spread toxicity like wildfire. In the same way she emphasizes her own responsibility for keeping the workplace happy for team members.
Sarah’s best advice? Don’t hire dicks, don’t hire whiners, don’t hire Eeyores.
