Position Profile

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, this role is responsible for using metrics and data-driven insights to drive marketing campaigns and grow social media channels. We are seeking a strategic and creative Content & Brand Marketing Manager to develop, execute, and optimize content initiatives that drive engagement, brand awareness, building thought leadership and lead generation. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, quick learner, have a team-oriented attitude, and be motivated to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Growth Strategies

  • Lead the development and implementation of scalable growth marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Manage and Build corporate branding (decks, letter head and website) 

Content Strategy & Development

  • Develop and implement a content marketing strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Plan, create, and manage a content calendar for blogs, whitepapers, reports, case studies, newsletters, and other content formats.
  • Craft compelling and informative content that highlights industry trends, thought leadership, and ventureLAB’s ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (executives, subject matter experts, partners, and startups) to extract insights and develop engaging narratives.

Brand & Design

  • Create eye-catching graphics and imagery aligned with the ventureLAB brand for external marketing purposes and internal ventureLAB branded efforts
  • Create and produce engaging video content aligned with the ventureLAB brand 
  • Updating the website including graphics, content and general maintenance

Performance Marketing

  • Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of marketing campaigns against ROI, KPI’s and other business objectives and goals, and make recommendations to improve campaign performance

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising or a related program is an asset
  • 5+ Years Experience with managing social media channels and creating original, dynamic content 
  • Experience with Sprout Social, HubSpot, and Canva 
  • Experience with Webflow preferred (knowledge of basic HTML or Wordpress an asset)
  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Builder, Google Ads, an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 CAD per annum

Our Hybrid Work Structure

At ventureLAB, we have a hybrid work model that balances flexibility for employees with opportunities for in-office collaboration. This position is eligible for remote work. All ventureLAB team members, regardless of hybrid status, are required on-site each Thursday and for events, meetings and other in-person activities.
