Tariff Resources

Introduction

As of March 20, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump has continued to use executive orders under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to implement a shifting array of tariffs on Canada and other trading partners. Currently, all U.S. imports from Canada are subject to a 25% tariff, while energy and potash imports face a 10% tariff. However, goods that qualify for preferential treatment under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) are temporarily exempt. In response to these challenging trade conditions, ventureLAB is committed to supporting founders by curating relevant resources and planning targeted activities and consultations to help navigate the evolving landscape.
