AlayaCare, a Canadian startup tech success story, has in just five years helped revolutionize the delivery of home care services not only here at home but in the United States, Australia, the Middle East and South Asia. More than 250 agencies now use its software to deliver individualized care in an industry experiencing rapid evolution.
“We founded this company on a vision of developing technology that could enable high-quality home care that puts patients first – what we’d want our own family members to receive,” said Adrian Schauer, AlayaCare president and CEO. “Health care is undergoing dramatic change, and intuitive software helps care providers embrace that change to meet tomorrow’s challenges.”
When AlayaCare launched in 2014, the home care industry was mainly a paper-based sector. Five years later, the company’s technology not only brings digital efficiencies to agencies themselves, but helps improve care delivery through machine learning and remote monitoring capabilities that keep clients safe at home and reduce one of health care’s biggest concerns: readmissions to hospital.
AlayaCare has raised over $50 million in growth capital to support its mission of fostering a technology-enabled, outcomes-focused model of home care that also offers optimal experiences for caregivers themselves. Its software facilitates half a million home visits every month around the globe.
“Our team of over 200 employees now proudly serves a community of clients who help us figure out how to make our software as impactful as possible,” said Schauer. “What was once a long vision is now coming into focus: AlayaCare helping provide care for over one million patients.”
On September 18-20, 2019, AlayaCare will host its fourth annual Better Outcomes conference, which explores the challenges and opportunities in home health care and helps agencies understand how to best use technology to position themselves for future growth.
A packed agenda features thought leaders and industry experts sharing insights and discussing trends affecting the industry as a whole – and what it means for agencies large and small. AlayaCare welcomes keynote speakers from the global BAYADA Home Health Care and leading Canadian agencies CBI Health Group and SE Health.
As the global home care industry grows by an unprecedented rate of nearly nine per cent each year, Better Outcomes will focus on modern challenges for providers: caregiver shortages, the client experience, bolstering the revenue cycle, running a data-driven business, integration across the continuum of care, and handling multiple payment regimens.
