Digital Health Week (November 11-17, 2019) is an annual celebration and recognition of how digital health is transforming the delivery of care across Canada as more and more of our health care system becomes digital. We are proud to be working with a number of participating organizations to increase awareness of digital health. Launched in 2014, Digital Health Week is now a part of the ACCESS 2022 movement, which is bringing together Canadians, health care providers, government and industry to work towards a new day in health care. Together we can transform care.
Today, seven in 10 Canadians can access some of their personal health information online, which helps them better manage their health. Additionally, 85 per cent of primary care physicians use EMRs and 82 per cent say they provide more efficient care with electronic records. Now that’s something to celebrate — which is exactly what we’ll be doing Nov. 11-17 during Digital Health Week.
The awareness week celebrates the difference digital health is making and is now part of the ACCESS 2022 movement which is uniting patients, clinicians, industry, government and other stakeholders to unite to help create a modern, 21st century health system.
