Dynamic Duo Finds Love and Success

February 14, 2020

This is the place we can reach our goals and let our dreams become reality,” says Paris Roudband.

Avid learners and entrepreneurs, Amin Darbandi and Paris Roudband met 4 years ago while working on a business project together in Iran on Valentine’s Day. They were drawn to each other’s intelligence, talent and desire to start new ventures. They quickly became best friends and married in 2018. A year later, they moved to Canada to seek a better life.

Like many newcomers, Amin and Paris encountered challenges while living in Canada. “When we arrived here, everything in the future was very far away from us,” says Paris. They found an opportunity to grow through Career Recharge and HELIX, Seneca’s on-campus incubator for entrepreneurs. The programs provided them with the mentorship, resources and skills to succeed in Canada. “I learnt how to be successful,” says Amin. “I learnt how to be an entrepreneur.”

Now seasoned participants, they look forward to apply the skills they’ve learned at Career Recharge and HELIX towards their new project – an online platform that helps foreign speakers improve their English. Looking back, they are proud of their journey and are excited to continue achieving their dreams together.

For the opportunity to make a change in your career future and make meaningful connections, join Career Recharge at an upcoming workshop.
