EAIGLE offers an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution for crowd monitoring and occupancy data analytics to screen for COVID-19 in public places with high foot traffic. Based out of ventureLAB in Markham, this tech company is looking to help local main street and industrial businesses throughout York Region. EAIGLE’s AI solution automates the total COVID-19 screening process for employees and customers at points of entry, enabling businesses to monitor for infection non-invasively and without interruption to regular traffic flow. As part of the Community Collaboration Program, they are offering this 1-month free-of-charge pilot to a local business until March 12th in partnership with ventureLAB and Digital Main Street. There are currently three spots remaining. Amir Hoss, Founder and CEO of EAIGLE, and his team pivoted their existing real-time occupancy monitoring technology to rapidly prepare businesses for navigating the changing public health measures brought on by the pandemic. By installing a single camera at a business’ entrance, their video analytics technology can screen temperatures non-invasively, and promptly notify the premise to help prevent potential transmissions at the source. From winning the Made In York Region Pitch Competition, EAIGLE was awarded a grand prize of $25,000 to implement their crowd monitoring technology free-of-charge for local York Region businesses as part of this program.
