Last week, the ventureLAB team grew with the addition of five new summer hires. Hailing from the University of Toronto, the University of Guelph, Laurier, Western Ivey, and Princeton, these recent grads and summer students will be a huge asset to the ventureLAB team, adding their fresh and vibrant perspective for over the next eight weeks. Join us in welcoming Jaqueline, Mark, Peter, Rachel, and Shirley!

Jacqueline, a recent University of Toronto grad, is completing her post-graduate certificate in sport and event marketing at George Brown. She will be joining our Marketing team, focusing on social media, content, and website support. In future, Jacqueline would like to work for an NGO like Amnesty International or the UN Foundation, merging her background in political science with her interest in marketing.

Mark is a third-year student attending the Ivey School of Business. Over the course of his summer at ventureLAB, Mark is interested in gaining valuable project experience, developing new technological skills, and increasing his understanding of new technology. Career-wise, he is interested in pursuing management consulting with a specialization in technology-focused projects.

Peter is a business student from Laurier BBA. Back for another summer with ventureLAB, he'll be joining the Data team this summer focusing on Salesforce Automation & Tableau dashboards.

"ventureLAB's success in supporting over 2,000 entrepreneurs starts with an incredibly driven and technically diverse team. I hope to use this opportunity to learn as much as possible about the startup space and build a strong foundation for my own business endeavours."

Rachel, an Applied Science student at the University of Guelph, is back for another summer with ventureLAB. With her passion for community and past experience working with ventureLAB clients, Rachel is helping our Programs team conduct a competitive analysis on our innovation ecosystem and undertaking comprehensive research on best practices and relevant programming.

Shirley is an incoming student at Princeton University, studying Economics. She hopes to work in the consulting or impact investing space in the future, and is excited to learn more about the startup ecosystem at ventureLAB. Shirley will be joining the Partnerships team this summer assisting in private partnership research and other projects.
