ventureLAB made it to the 2021 List of Best Workplaces™ in Technology!

November 17, 2021

ventureLAB is proud to announce that we’ve been named on the 2021 list of Best Workplaces in Technology. We received this honour after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work®.

The list is based on direct feedback from employees at hundreds of organizations that were surveyed by Great Place to Work®. To be eligible for the list, organizations must be Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year and work primarily in the technology industry. We were determined the best based on employee responses to our Trust Index Survey.

ventureLAB is a culture-first, people-driven organization. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are ingrained in our core values, and we lead by example with a gender-balanced, diverse team with a deeply rooted performance-based culture. We are proud of the work that we do, the culture we cultivate, the support we give one another and the pride with which we accomplish our goals.

When asked about what makes ventureLAB a special place to work, here is what some of our  team members had to say:

“When I first interviewed for a position at ventureLAB, I was told about the culture, about how people strive to be transparent, accountable, and give each other room to grow & make mistakes. I thought this was all great to hear in an interview but in no way would this be the centerpiece of ventureLAB’s mandate. Was I ever wrong. From my first day at ventureLAB, I have seen this culture embodied by everyone, from the Board and our CEO to every member on the staff.”

Brenna Ireland, Director, Innovation Space

“Hands down my favourite part of working at ventureLAB is the amazing group of people. The team is so talented, intelligent, and self-motivated to do good work. There is genuine camaraderie with my peers, and the support I receive from my team is invaluable.”

Carrie Yan, Manager, Programs

“ventureLAB operates very much as a startup itself, it’s innovative, fast moving, challenging, engaging and with even bigger goals ahead.”

Avinash Persaud, VP, Hardware Catalyst Initiative

“The people make the place, but the place also makes the people at ventureLAB. There are a lot of things that make ventureLAB a great place to work, but what I admire the most and am most proud of is the environment we’ve cultivated together – one that is open, transparent, and challenging. There are countless opportunities to learn and grow, personally and professionally, and everyone is respectful, passionate, and talented.”

Justine Kintanar, VP External Relations, Marketing & Communication

Thank you to Great Place to Work® for the honour, and to the ventureLAB team for making us what we are.
