Michelle is keenly passionate about the commercialisation of tech innovations for good. She brings a diverse set of experiences spanning medical genetics, neuroscience, maternal fetal medicine, quantum materials, nanomaterials, and is generally interested in all things deep tech. She holds a MSc in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
Michelle has spent the past 5 years in the UK working in the deep tech venture ecosystem, investing in and advising early stage startups and entrepreneurs, and has led strategy and operations in several deep tech organizations over the past decade in both the UK and Canada. Previously, Michelle was an academic researcher in the field of neuroscience studying the vascular profile of acute spinal cord injuries and in the field of genetics for the non-invasive detection of fetal trisomies.
